Then register for the sixth Life-Enriching Education Lab (LEE Lab) which will take place in Bosnia & Herzegovina from the 22nd to 28th of June 2020.

The LEE Lab is created for everybody interested in exploring and applying Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in education, including, adult students, kindergarten teachers, school and university teachers, child care staff, administrators, counsellors, educators in youth programs, parents, NVC trainers, Certification Candidates, and all NVC practitioners.

The LEE Lab has a common vision for mutual education and is part of a international movement. It is an  inclusive  space for exchange and learning with experienced trainers, who are there to create the frame, hold space, offer guidance and feedback, motivation and input.

Whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever your level of Nonviolent Communication,  if you  are interested in this experience of mutual learning YOU are welcome to join us.

What will happen there?

Concretely and very practically we will work on how to:

• Co-create a safe and supportive learning and working environment including pupils, teachers, parents and administration staff.

• Role model partnership, inclusion and cooperation – cultivate emotional intelligence, respect, and compassion.

• Resolve conflicts and prevent or de-escalate violence.

• Support pupils to know their potential find intrinsic motivation to learn.

• Build communication skills which support standing up for own needs while also taking in the perspective of others and the community as a whole.

• Create the classroom you always dreamed of.

Example of what a day might look like:

1. Breakfast

2. Community meeting: Remembering, group decision making and planning of the day

3. Parallel offers from the trainers: deepening skills and awareness

5. Parallel offers by everyone, e.g. sharing best practices, learning from different work and projects , open space

6. Community meeting: Reflection & harvesting the learnings

8.  More sharing if wanted or leisure activities

Work will be in English language and we will ensure translation support in case of a need.

Where will it happen?

We want to offer the LEE Lab in an inspirational environment which allows us to get in touch with the ourselves, each other and our surrounding. This is why our this years training venue is  Hotel Bistrica in Jahorina, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Hotel Bistrica is located at 1620 meters above sea level at the mountain Jahorina and the valleys of the Prača and Drina rivers. The hotel is 28 km from Sarajevo and 14 km from Pale. The location and surroundings offer peace and detachment from the hectic pace. There is an opportunity to breathe, connect with nature, other participants and your own needs.

When you register for this we will take care of booking your accommodation. You can choose between a single or a double room. See below for more information regarding accommodation.

What will cost?

Prices for tuition

Tuition includes six days full of training sessions & workshops, working material, certificate of attendance, VAT & a magical time. It pays for six trainers traveling from different countries, sharing their knowledge and experiences for six days, three organizers creating the frame so you can relax, learn and enjoy yourself, training rooms and materials. It also supports MIOS Tuzla so their great work can continue.  

When registering you can choose between the following categories:  

Support Tuition 700 €

Pay more to support the work we are doing and help us keep the lights on around here.

Regular Tuition 450 €

Come as you are and enjoy a great week of training!

Impact Tuition 310 €

We are committed to create impact with the LEE Lab so in order to support the local growth of the NVC community in Bosnia & Herzegovina and its neighboring countries we offer you this special price of 310 € if you are from the area, come as group (min. 2 people) and/or have limited financial resources.

We put a lot of work into running the LEE Lab not all of it paid. But we still do need financial resources to run this event so please choose mindfully and also consider looking for financial support elsewhere. Please also note that we cannot give any more discount on the tuition.

Prices for accommodation

Price per person for 7 nights including your room, three meals and snacks during two breaks on each day, residence tax, guest insurance and VAT.

Single Rooms 350 €

Double Rooms 315 €  

Please note: Tuition will be paid to MIOS, accommodation will be paid to the hotel directly.

Payment & Cancelation Policy

Registration and reservation

The first step in attending the training is to complete the registration form. You can find the registration form HERE. (link when done).

Upon receipt of your registration form, in the course of the next two business days we will send you a confirmation email with the instructions for the next steps.

All information you share with us will be protected and will only be used for logistical preparation of this training. 

The second step is to pay a non-refundable deposit of EUR 150 per person in next  14 business days (Monday  to Friday) after receiving and confirming your registration.

The deposit includes a portion of the training fee.

If you are able to pay the full tuition immediately, go to step 3.

Deposit payment is a confirmation to us that you are interested in attending the training and secures a place during the training.

Payment can only be made through a bank account.

The number of training places is limited given the planned content and the number of beds available.

We can store your reservation for 14 business days from the day we receive your registration.

Please deposit within 14 business days of registration. After that period of time, the place you booked may be offered to another potential entrant.  

The third step is final payment of the registration fee. You can pay the final registration fee one month before the start of training - until 21.05.2020.

We will send a pro forma invoice or invoice for the amount of the registration fee (total amount or difference from the paid deposit) to your e-mail address. 

Cancelation Policy 

In situations where your plans change and you are unable to attend training, we offer the following cancelation options:  

• The deposit you pay for this training is not able to be refunded in case of cancellation, as it covers the insurance of the hotel and the organizer to cover the cost of keeping the place in the hotel (accommodation) and the place during the training;

• Until May 29, 2020 we will refund to your bank account the amount of the registration fee paid, reduced for the amount of the deposit;

• After June 12, 2020 - no possibility for the refund. We will keep the total amount paid to our bank account to cover the agreed and incurred training costs; or

• Until June 12, 2020 we leave you the opportunity to propose another person / participant who can participate for you in order to use the funds paid.

Visa

Holders of UNMIK passports require visa to enter, exit or pass through the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nationals of the following states may enter into Bosnia and Herzegovina with a passport or a valid identity card proving identity and citizenship of:  

- Member State of the European Union

- State signatory to the Schengen Agreement

- Andorra, Montenegro, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Serbia, the Holy See and Swiss Confederation
